About OLWAN Sourcing
OLWAN Sourcing is the English-language sourcing service of YIWU OLWAN IMPORT & EXPORT CO., LTD. (义乌市翱湾进出口有限公司), a trading company based in Yiwu, China. Our founder has worked in international trade since 2007, and in Yiwu since 2009. We find products and suppliers, check factories, inspect goods and ship them to importers worldwide. In that time we’ve shipped more than 4,000 containers, and today we send 2 containers to Canada every month.
Our story
Our founder, Hasan Olwan, came to China in 2008 as a young man looking for a chance to build his future. It wasn’t easy: a new country, a new language, and a market he barely knew. Over time he learned Chinese, learned how the Chinese market really works, and built his own relationships with traders, factories and suppliers.
His real start in trade came in Yiwu. He didn’t learn importing from books. He learned it in the market: visiting factories, negotiating, inspecting goods, loading containers, and solving the problems that come up along the way.
Over the years the work grew beyond China. Hasan traded with buyers and companies in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the European Union, the US and Canada, and built wholesale and distribution businesses in Mexico, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Germany and other countries.
YIWU OLWAN IMPORT & EXPORT CO., LTD. grew out of that experience, founded in Yiwu in 2009 to be more than a buying office. We’re the team that stays with the importer inside China: we find the supplier, check it, negotiate, follow production, inspect the goods and manage the shipping, so trade is clearer and carries less risk.
OLWAN Sourcing brings that experience to English-speaking buyers everywhere, from Amazon sellers placing a first order to wholesalers filling containers.
What we believe
- Honesty over the deal. If a supplier looks wrong, you hear it from us before you pay.
- Published prices. Our fees are on our website, and we don’t take commission from suppliers.
- Check before you pay. Every order gets a chance to be inspected before the balance goes to the supplier.
- Stay until it’s solved. When shipping or supplier problems happen, we work on them until they’re fixed.
