How to visit Yiwu Market
- Plan your categories. Yiwu International Trade City has 75,000+ shops across five districts, each focused on different products. Read our Yiwu market guide to pick yours.
- Check your visa. Check the rules for your passport. In 2026, citizens of about 50 countries, including the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and most EU countries, can visit China visa-free for up to 30 days (the current policy runs to December 31, 2026). US citizens still need a visa, or can use the 240-hour visa-free transit if they fly on to a third country, including through Shanghai, Hangzhou and Yiwu airports. Rules change, so confirm with the Chinese embassy before you book.
- Travel to Yiwu. Most visitors fly to Shanghai or Hangzhou and take the high-speed train. See how to get to Yiwu.
- Tour the market with us. Plan about a week for most buying trips.
- Place your orders with deposits, and let us follow up after you leave.
Do I need a translator in Yiwu?
Yes, for serious buying. Many booth staff speak basic English, but prices, MOQs, materials and delivery dates need exact answers, and small misunderstandings become expensive mistakes. A translator who knows the market also knows which questions to ask.
Why follow-up matters
Here’s the thing most first-time visitors learn the hard way: agreeing an order at a booth is the easy part. The goods then need to be made, checked, collected from many suppliers and shipped. Without someone in Yiwu, that part falls apart. Our team handles it after you fly home.

Pricing
Market tours are quoted per trip, depending on days, number of people and services. Orders you place follow our sourcing commission.
